«Mr. Snoid & Angelfood McSpade» is Robert Crumb's underground comic, published by Cúpula in paperback (65 pages, in Spanish).
Comics by Robert Crumb featuring Mr. Snoid, a grumpy and mean-spirited being, and Angelfood McSpade, a naive and hypersexual young woman. He despises everyone; she gets along with anyone. Their clashes give rise to acerbic, satirical humour, with nods to Crumb characters such as Fritz the Cat, Mr. Natural and Mode O'Day.
Volume 9 of Robert Crumb's Complete Works, translated by Francisco Pérez Navarro. Black-and-white edition.
For readers of underground comics and acerbic humour, especially fans of Robert Crumb and characters such as Fritz the Cat or Mr. Natural.
Robert Dennis Crumb is an American artist who often signs his work R. Crumb. His work displays a nostalgia for American folk culture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and satire of contemporary American culture.
