«Milagros de Nuestra Señora» is the Marian verse collection by Gonzalo de Berceo in a version by Daniel Devoto, paperback (Castalia, 240 pages, Spanish).
The book brings together twenty-five pious tales featuring the Virgin Mary, preceded by an allegorical introduction. Gonzalo de Berceo, the first Castilian poet known by name, gathers thirteenth-century Marian legends with devotional intent; in this edition, Daniel Devoto renders them into modern Spanish while preserving the tone of the original text.
It belongs to the Odres Nuevos collection from Castalia, number 7, which renders into modern Spanish the most important works of medieval Castilian literature; complete text in a version by Daniel Devoto.
For readers interested in Spanish medieval literature and Marian poetry, and for students approaching the classics in modern Spanish.
