«Miguel de Cervantes. El insigne hidalgo» is the youth biography of Cervantes by Francisco Troya Márquez, published by Editorial Casals in paperback.
The book reviews the eventful life of Miguel de Cervantes: his bravery at the Battle of Lepanto, five years of captivity in Algiers, and travels through Andalusia as a royal commissioner. These experiences fed an extensive literary output, in prose, verse and theatre, whose summit is Don Quijote de la Mancha.
The work is part of the Biografía joven collection and corresponds to the second edition, published in 2011.
A reading intended for young readers interested in the history of Spain and the figure of Miguel de Cervantes.
