«Mi vida» is the autobiographical testimony of Safiya Hussaini and Raffaele Masto, published by RBA Coleccionables in hardback (250 pages, in Spanish).
Safiya Hussaini, born in the Nigerian savannah, was married at thirteen and lived under her husband's dependence. After smiling at a married man, she was accused of adultery and sentenced to death by stoning; international solidarity managed to commute the sentence. The case became a symbol of the defence of women's rights.
Published in 2004, the book belongs to the Testimonios de mujer collection and bears the subtitle La lucha de una mujer contra la lapidación.
Aimed at readers of biographies and testimonies about the oppression of women and the defence of their rights.
