«Mi tía y yo» is the humorous novel by Patrick Dennis, published by Punto de Lectura in paperback (448 pages, in Spanish).
A ten-year-old boy is orphaned in 1920s America and goes to live with his eccentric aunt, a vital woman obsessed with being up to date. For thirty years they share parties, romances and strokes of fortune, in a comedy that ironically portrays the social tics of the twentieth century and turns the aunt into an unforgettable character.
First instalment of the «Auntie Mame» saga. The novel was originally published in 1955 under the title «Auntie Mame: An Irreverent Escapade».
For readers of classic comedy and contemporary fiction with social portraiture and charismatic characters.
Dennis Patrick was an American character actor, primarily in television.
