«Mi Siglo» is a collection of stories by Günter Grass, published by Ediciones Alfaguara in 1999 (416 pages, in Spanish).
The author traces a journey through the 20th century with one story for each year: major historical events, scientific discoveries, cultural and sporting life, persecutions and wars, but also minor, everyday anecdotes. Each story is told from a different voice, and together they form a fragmentary, plural vision of the era.
The Spanish translation is by Miguel Sáenz; this edition is illustrated and bound in hardback.
Günter Wilhelm Grass was a German novelist, poet, playwright, illustrator, graphic artist, sculptor, and recipient of the 1999 Nobel Prize in Literature.
