This manual is a compendium of the basic techniques and methods of analysis in the field of applied economics. It is primarily aimed at undergraduate students. In addition to being a manual for specific courses on Applied Economics Methods, its content can complement subjects in the degrees of Economics and Business such as Introduction to Economics or the Spanish Economy. The presentation of the analysis tools is illustrated in each chapter with the most representative data of the Spanish economy. The objective of this approach is to make the topics covered more pedagogical and accessible. The book addresses the analysis of economic growth and its measurement, the definition of economic activity based on national accounts systems, the study of the productive structure through input-output analysis, knowledge of the external sector of the economy and the examination of its equilibrium, the connection between financial flows and real flows of an economy based on financial accounts, the analysis of the sources and basic techniques for the study of the labor market, as well as the consideration of aspects related to the environmental economy.
