«Marco Polo» is the biography of the Venetian traveller written by Jacques Heers, published by Salvat in hardback (187 pages, in Spanish).
The work follows the Venetian traveller who ventured into Asia, served the Mongol emperor for twenty years and returned via India. Heers recalls that the account of that journey, the Book of Marvels, was written by a Pisan in French and analyses its spread in the courts of the West.
Volume 19 of Salvat's Grandes Biografías collection; illustrated edition.
For readers interested in medieval history, great travellers and contact between West and East.
