«LTI. La lengua del Tercer Reich: Apuntes de un filólogo» is the essay by Victor Klemperer, published by Minúscula in paperback (414 pages, in Spanish).
Victor Klemperer analyses in this essay how National Socialism turned the German language into an instrument of ideological domination. Based on notes taken from 1933 and written clandestinely while he worked in a factory and lived in a «casa de judíos», he shows that the manipulation of language is not a phenomenon of the past, but a present risk in any society.
Fourth volume in the Alexanderplatz collection. Translated from German by Adan Kovacsics; the work was originally published in 1947 as LTI. Notizbuch eines Philologen.
Aimed at readers with an interest in the history of Nazism, philology and the mechanisms of language manipulation.
