«Los que se fueron a la porra» is the satirical humour novel by Álvaro de Laiglesia, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (224 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings together a series of stories in which the author ironically portrays scenes and characters from everyday life: from a monkey and caricatured figures to objects such as a flagon, a car, a motorcycle or a film camera. With his characteristic satirical humour, Laiglesia turns everyday situations into sharp observations about the society of his time.
Work published by Círculo de Lectores in 1972; the Círculo de Lectores record indicates hardback and 224 pages, while the AbeBooks listing cites the 1972 Planeta edition.
For readers who enjoy critical humour and twentieth-century Spanish costumbrista narrative.
