«Los invitados al jardín» is Antonio Gala's collection of short stories, published by Booket in paperback (368 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings together stories that explore love in all its forms, from the initial spark to its deterioration in ways such as abuse. Gala presents life as something changeable and full of adventures, disasters and apparent recoveries, with characters who remain hopeful even in hopelessness; for him, love is not a destination, but a non-transferable task.
The work belongs to the Biblioteca Antonio Gala, and this edition is from 2003.
Recommended for readers of contemporary fiction and short stories who want to approach the prose of one of the most widely read Spanish authors of the 20th century.
Antonio Gala Velasco was a Spanish poet, playwright, novelist, and writer.
