«Los cuadernos de un vate vago» is a book of notes and reflections by Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, published in paperback by Primera Plana (96 pages, Spanish).
Between 1961 and 1976, Gonzalo Torrente Ballester recorded his writing process on magnetic tapes: doubts, ideas about the origin of his novels, fears and joys, and sometimes stories he later transcribed. This volume brings together a selection of those notes with minimal corrections, many focused on how La saga/fuga de J. B. was born.
This 1993 edition corresponds to number 10 of the Grandes Autores collection. Biblioteca de Literatura Universal.
