Los Cien Grandes Poemas de España y América

Synopsis of Los Cien Grandes Poemas de España y América

«Los cien grandes poemas de España y América» is the anthology of Hispanic poetry compiled by Julio Ortega, published by Siglo XXI Editores in paperback (376 pages, in Spanish).

Julio Ortega proposes a journey through one hundred poems written in Spanish, from both sides of the Atlantic, bringing together voices from different eras and sensibilities. His criterion is not to choose the «best» poems, but the «great» ones, understood as memorable works that still speak to today's reader.

For readers of Hispanic poetry who want an overview of great poems from Spain and America and a personal perspective on the literary canon.
