«Locos de la historia» is the historical essay by Alejandra Vallejo-Nágera, published by La Esfera de los Libros in hardback (464 pages, in Spanish).
The author portrays six historical figures who ruled with disturbed minds, such as Rasputin, Louise Élisabeth of Orléans and Messalina. Without clinical analysis, she dissects their human condition with a narrative that provokes chills, hilarity and compassion, in homage to her grandfather and her father, both psychiatrists.
Third instalment of the «Locos egregios» saga, started by the author's grandfather, Antonio, and continued by her father, Juan Antonio.
For readers of historical popularisation and biographies who enjoy eccentric, controversial historical figures or those marked by madness.
