«L'obsession Vinci» is the historical novel by Sophie Chauveau, published by Gallimard in paperback (520 pages, in French).
Leonardo da Vinci was more than an inventor and scientist: a man Florence marginalises, Rome rejects and Venice views with distrust. Sophie Chauveau recreates his life between the court of Ludovico il Moro, the campaigns of Cesare Borgia and Francis I, and his ties with Michelangelo and Botticelli, in a tribute to the creators of the Renaissance.
The novel is part of Sophie Chauveau's series «Le siècle de Florence», and its original edition was published in 2007.
For readers of historical fiction and art narrative, with an interest in Leonardo da Vinci and the Italian Renaissance.
