«Llibre de les bèsties» is the moral fable by Ramon Llull, published by Angle Editorial in paperback (160 pages, in Catalan).
The work narrates the intrigues of the fox Na Renard to seize power and, through the struggles among the animals, satirises courtly life and human ambitions. Small fables full of symbolism contrast animal behaviour with human behaviour with a clear moral intention about the society and politics of its time.
The work, published in 2007, is part of «El Llibre de meravelles» (1287-1289), the second and last novel by Ramon Llull. It is volume 3 of the Angle Lector collection.
With complete text and reading dossier, this edition of «Llibre de les bèsties» lends itself to classroom work or private reading.

Ramon Llull, sometimes anglicized as Raymond Lully, was a Catholic philosopher, theologian, poet, missionary, apologist and former knight, born in Palma de Mallorca. He invented a philosophical system known as the Art, conceived as a type of universal logic to prove the truth of Christian doctrine to interlocutors of all faiths and nationalities. The Art consists of a set of general principles and combinatorial operations. It is illustrated with diagrams.
