«Libertad o igualdad» is Daniel Lacalle's political economy essay, published by Planeta in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
Daniel Lacalle defends the pillars of the market economy —savings, investment and innovation— against interventionism, which impoverishes and discourages effort. He warns of the disenchantment of Western middle classes with capitalism and proposes a social model that rewards responsibility and merit, without sacrificing freedom in the name of the common good.
The full subtitle is «Por qué el desarrollo del capitalismo social es la única solución a los retos del nuevo milenio». The work was published on 19 May 2020.
For those interested in economics and politics who want an argued defence of economic freedom against interventionism.
