«Leyendas urbanas de la historia de España» is the historical essay by Manuel Ayllón, published by Styria in paperback (317 pages, in Spanish).
Manuel Ayllón, architect and historian, reviews myths and falsehoods spread as certain facts about Spain's past. With cases such as the discovery of America, the Bourbon succession or the Constitution of 1812, he shows how certain narratives were manipulated or legitimised with ideological intent, and proposes contrasting them with a critical eye.
The subtitle of the work is «Las mentiras, los mitos y las falacias que nos han contado»; it was published in 2010 by Styria.
For fans of Spanish history who want to discover a critical and contrasted view of myths and official narratives.
