«Lettera alla madre sulla felicità» is a novel by Alberto Bevilacqua, published by Arnoldo Mondadori in paperback (298 pages, in Italian).
The narrative takes the form of a letter to the mother: the narrator confesses feelings, pain, and the story of a persecution that begins with a forest fire and grows in cruelty. As a counterbalance, the maternal teaching holds that happiness is possible even when the world proves adverse.
First Italian edition of 1995, in the Scrittori italiani series by Arnoldo Mondadori; the cover presents the work as a «romanzo».
For readers of contemporary Italian fiction seeking an intimate story about the maternal figure.
