Les religions face aux femmes

Synopsis of Les religions face aux femmes

In 'Les religions face aux femmes', Ariane Buisset explores the position of women in various religions such as Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism. The book analyzes how these religions have represented women through their dogmas and how women, both ordinary and mystical, have adapted within religions defined by men. This study examines the latest research in sociology, genetics, psychology, and linguistics on the construction of gender, raising questions about the relationship between beliefs and science, nature and culture, and the connection between established religions and spirituality.
