«Les nits perfumades» is the novel by Manuel Joan i Arinyó, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (193 pages).
A memoirist account of the narrator's childhood, from birth to first communion, in almost independent chapters: family, village characters, trips to Barcelona, games, school, cinema, television, fears and sexual awakening. An intimate and universal universe, with a colourful style between the lyrical and the ironic.
The novel won the Premi Sant Joan 1988 from Caixa de Sabadell and was originally published in 1989.
