«Les il·lusions òptiques del gran Bubidini» is the children's pop-up book by John O'Leary, published by Combel Editorial in hardback (12 pages, in Catalan).
When you unfold the work and place it vertically, magic boxes appear; each one hides a show of optical illusions that the magician Bubidini explains at the end: why the multicoloured wheel of Mr. Cristalino seems white when it spins, or how the Stepped Dragon looks whole even though it is made of three separate pieces.
First edition published in 2011; ISBN 9788498250114.
For boys and girls aged 5 to 7 who are fans of optical illusions and pop-up books.
John O'Leary was an Irish separatist and a leading Fenian. He studied both law and medicine but did not take a degree and for his involvement in the Irish Republican Brotherhood, he was imprisoned for five years in England during the nineteenth century.
