A German-language manual for learning Modern Standard Arabic. In 30 lessons it introduces the script, pronunciation, morphology, vocabulary and the basics of the syntax of today's written Arabic. The method, revised by the authors on the basis of traditional teaching, also serves as a basis for classical Arabic.
The fifth revised edition, published in 1996, corresponds to volume 1 (lessons 1-30). The Stiftung Volkswagenwerk supported the development of the course.
