«Le monde de Kitty Crowther» is the illustrated book by Lucie Cauwe and Kitty Crowther, published by Pastel in paperback (24 pages, in French).
The book approaches the creative universe of Kitty Crowther, an illustrator of children's literature, and her way of understanding books. Crowther talks about her work and children's relationship with reading: she likes a child to discover her works alone, make them a bedside book, or ask for them to be read many times.
The work appeared in 2007 under the Pastel imprint of L'école des loisirs. The volume measures 149 × 209 mm.
It is a work of interest to readers of children's literature and to educators or mediators working on promoting reading with children.
Kitty Crowther is a Belgian illustrator and writer of children's books. For her career contribution to "children's and young adult literature in the broadest sense" she won the 2010 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award from the Swedish Arts Council, the biggest prize in children's literature.
