The director of Romance brings together in this volume literary fragments from all eras devoted to desire, with names such as D. H. Lawrence, Sade, Henry Miller, Pasolini, Aragon and Houellebecq. These are texts that often faced censorship and explore sexuality with passionate, poetic and provocative prose.
The selection was originally published in 1999; this paperback edition from Le Livre de Poche appeared in 2001.
For adult readers interested in erotic literature and in Catherine Breillat's view of desire.
