«Le jeu : La Traque» is the speculative novel by Jean-Luc Luciani, published by Rageot Editeur in paperback (157 pages, in French).
In 2037, the reality TV channel Europa 29 premieres «La Traque», an extreme contest filmed at the Château d'If. Ten young criminals sentenced to death compete for their freedom while, after the public vote and before the cameras, they are pursued by killers in real time; only the last survivor will go free. The novel denounces the spectacle society, voyeurism and the rise of violence in a future Europe fragmented into microstates.
First volume of the «Le jeu» series, originally published in 2006 in the Rageot Romans collection.
Aimed at young readers aged 9 to 12, especially those who enjoy dystopias, action and suspense.
