«Le Bossu de Notre-Dame» is Disney's illustrated children's book, published by Edition Disney Hachette in hardback (96 pages, in French).
In medieval Paris, Quasimodo, the bell-ringer of Notre-Dame Cathedral, lives apart because of his appearance. His life crosses paths with that of the gypsy Esmeralda, pursued by Archdeacon Claude Frollo; between friendship and intolerance, Quasimodo tries to protect her while the crowd turns against him.
French edition published in 1996, adaptation of Disney's animated feature film based on Victor Hugo's novel.
Aimed at young readers who want to approach the story of Quasimodo and Esmeralda in an illustrated version.
French novelist, poet and dramatist, leading figure of Romanticism and author of Les Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.
