In the summer of 1978, in a Spain that has not yet finished leaving the Franco regime, a teenager named Ignacio Cañas meets Zarco and Tere, two young criminals. This encounter will change his life forever. Thirty years later, a writer is commissioned to write a book about El Zarco, who has become a myth of juvenile delinquency. However, what the writer finds is an unforeseen and universal truth about the limits of freedom and the motivations of our actions. A passionate novel about the elusive nature of truth, loyalty and betrayal.
Spanish novelist and essayist, author of Soldiers of Salamis, The Anatomy of a Moment and the Terra Alta trilogy.
