«La Volupté» is the graphic novel by Blutch, published by Futuropolis in 2006 in hardback (112 pages, in French).
Blutch rewrites Sleeping Beauty as a crime fable: a manhunt seeks a dangerous fugitive; Yvon, a man of the president, gets stuck on a road; a great ape watches a sleeping young woman. With only two pencils, black and red, the story explores desire, sex and voluptuousness.
Recommended for readers of adult graphic novels and European comics seeking transgressive reinterpretations of classic fairy tales.
