«La roca: el altar de las tres culturas» is the historical novel by Kanan Makiya, published by Planeta DeAgostini in hardback (428 pages, in Spanish).
Jerusalem, late 7th century. Young Ishaq is commissioned to build the Dome of the Rock. As he gathers stories and legends of the place, he recalls the tales of his father, who took part in the Arab conquest of the city.
