«La resolución infantil de problemas» is the child psychology essay by Stephanie Thornton, published by Ediciones Morata in its Bruner Series, in paperback (168 pages, in Spanish).
The book analyses how young children develop the ability to solve problems and why the skills that enable this depend not so much on innate intelligence as on knowledge acquired through experience. Stephanie Thornton reviews recent research from different perspectives and emphasises the importance of social interaction: sharing tasks with adults and other children is key to learning. The work connects this ability with the essence of child intelligence, understood as the capacity to set a goal, plan and execute the plan.
It belongs to the Bruner Series collection, within the collection «El desarrollo en el niño», directed by Jerome Bruner, Michael Cole and Annette Karmiloff-Smith. This is the second edition, published by Ediciones Morata in 2000.
Aimed at educators, psychologists and students interested in cognitive development and the early stages of school education.
