In September 1962, a young teacher arrives at her first destination in a school in the Ribagorzana Pyrenees. Severina, the teacher, seeks a town, a job, and a house from which to watch the snow fall, leaving behind a childhood marked by the mystery of her father's work and her mother's education, torn between protecting her from the regime's slogans and avoiding isolating her from normality. In this rural environment, Severina will discover the ties that bind her to the collective past thanks to Justa's wisdom and the connection with a fascinating man. However, she will soon realize that discretion and kindness are not always enough to integrate into a community.
