«La memoria en retazos» is the second volume of Santiago Carrillo's memoirs, published by Plaza & Janés in hardback (208 pages, in Spanish).
The book, organised by theme rather than chronologically, covers Spain's recent history: the Pope's visit in 1982, the Socialist governments, entry into NATO, the bombing of Libya and the reorganisation of the PCE that ended with Carrillo's expulsion. The final section deals with the Aznar governments, immigration and Bush's warmongering.
Published on 31 March 2003 in the collection «Así fue. La historia rescatada».
For those who want to learn about recent Spanish political history from the perspective of Santiago Carrillo, leader of the PCE.
