«La máquina del tiempo» is the science fiction novel by Herbert George Wells, published by Anaya in hardback (190 pages, in Spanish).
An inventor creates a machine that transports him to the year 802701, where he finds an unrecognizable London and a degenerate humanity in a ruined world, the consequence of unchecked scientific progress. The story also works as a satire of the capitalist society of its time.
1982 edition in the Tus Libros collection, with translation by Nellie Manso de Zúñiga and cover illustration by Miguel A. Rodríguez.
