«La maestra de títeres» is the contemporary fiction novel by Carmen Posadas, published by Booket in hardback (480 pages, in Spanish).
Beatriz Calanda, grande dame of Madrid's jet set, has turned frivolity and manipulation into an art: her life of glamour, scandals and exclusives sums up sixty years of Spanish history. Though her public image is celebrated, her origins and true story remain hidden even from those around her.
The novel belongs to Booket's Special Collection 2019, published on 1 October 2019 in Barcelona.
For the general public, especially readers of contemporary fiction and literary fiction interested in Madrid's high society.
Carmen Posadas is a prize-winning Uruguayan-Spanish author of books for children. She also writes for film and television. She is a recipient of the Premio Planeta de Novela. She became an honorary professor of the University of Peru in 2010.
