«La liste» is the young adult novel by Siobhan Vivian, published by Pocket Jeunesse in paperback (448 pages, in French).
Every year, an anonymous list appears at the high school and names the prettiest and ugliest girl in each grade. No one knows who writes it, and once it goes public, the damage is already done. The story follows the eight girls named and shows how these labels shape their self-image and their relationships with others.
The original title, «The List», was published in 2012; this French edition, translated by Anne Delcourt, appeared on 7 June 2018.
Aimed at young readers and fans of realistic fiction set in high school, with plots about social pressure and self-esteem.
Siobhan Vivian is a bestselling American novelist, editor, and screenwriter.
