«La historia de España contada con sencillez» is the historical essay by José María Pemán, published by San Román in paperback (446 pages, in Spanish).
Pemán presents the history of Spain as a drama in three acts: national unity, the imperial greatness of the 16th and 17th centuries, and the defence of its heritage. He starts from the Iberian, Celtic, Tartessian, Punic and Greek roots, reaches Rome and highlights the legacy of language, law and Christian faith, key to Hispanidad.
The edition includes illustrations and the original text is in Spanish.
A starting point for non-specialist readers who want a clear and general approach to the history of Spain.
