«La gran impúdica» is the short story collection by Italian writer Pitigrilli, published by Planeta in paperback (239 pages, in Spanish).
The stories in this volume, written by Pitigrilli, move between humour and irony to portray love, morality and the customs of 20th-century Italian society. With a gaze close to satire, the author turns social conventions and sentimental misunderstandings into narrative material.
Edition included in the Colecciones Populares Planeta 50 collection, with translation from Italian by Jaime Pomar.
For readers of 20th-century Italian fiction and short stories with humour and irony.

Pitigrilli was the pseudonym of Dino Segre, an Italian writer who made his living as a journalist and novelist. His most noted novel was Cocaina (1921), published under his pseudonym and placed on the list of prohibited books by the Catholic Church because of his treatment of drug use and sex. It has been translated into several languages and re-issued in several editions. Pitigrilli published novels up until 1974, the year before his death. He spent his later decades of life as a Catholic himself.
