In 14th-century Sabadell, Arraona, the innkeeper's daughter, longs to decide her own future; only her friend Elisendis, from a different class and resistant to the role imposed by the era, stands by her. Their alliance leads them to rebel as the town grows through the trade of livestock, wages, and textiles. The work recreates the origins of Arraona, the seed of present-day Sabadell.

Published in 2010, the action takes place in medieval Sabadell and extends to 1366, when the town became a royal borough.
