«La expedición de los diez mil» is the historical account by Xenophon, published by Editorial Edicomunicación in paperback (284 pages, in Spanish).
Xenophon tells the story of an army of Greek mercenaries who, after being abandoned in the heart of the Persian Empire, must fight their way back to their homeland. The account combines the campaign chronicle with the hardships of the journey: battles, hostile territories and the constant struggle for survival.
Also known as the Anabasis, it was published in 1992 as number 25 of Edicomunicación's Narrative Collection, with a prologue by Francesc-Lluis Cardona and a translation by Miguel Planas Font.
For readers of ancient history and classical Greek literature, and for those who enjoy accounts of military campaigns.
