«La dispute suivi de L'île des esclaves» is the play by Pierre de Marivaux that brings together «La dispute» and «L'île des esclaves», in paperback.
In «La dispute», a prince raises four young people in isolation to find out who committed the first infidelity; when they meet for the first time, the experiment gets under way. In «L'île des esclaves», after a shipwreck, masters and servants swap roles on an island; the exchange of power questions social hierarchies.
96-page edition in French, published by J'ai lu in 2003 in the Librio Théâtre collection. Includes a preface by Mathilde Landrain.
