«La Biblia judía y la Biblia cristiana» is the essay by Julio Trebolle Barrera, published by Trotta in paperback (670 pages, in Spanish).
The book starts from the Qumran discoveries to explain the formation of the Bible: Jewish and Christian canons, apocryphal books, transmission and translation of the text. It analyses the interpretation of the Bible in Judaism and Christianity and connects it with the Greco-Roman environment, rabbinic and Christian exegesis, and modern criticism.
Work from the Estructuras y Procesos collection, Religion series. The original edition dates from 1993.
Reference work for students and readers interested in the history of the Bible and the relationship between Jewish and Christian traditions.
