«La bandera inglesa» is Imre Kertész's short-story collection, published by Acantilado in 2005 in paperback, in Spanish.
Kertész presents these stories as fragments of his own life: youth in Stalinist Budapest, picturesque figures prepared to survive, the encounter with Wagner's music and the awakening to literature, and the sudden rupture symbolised by a jeep with the English flag.
Translation by Adán Kovácsics. It consists of 176 pages and is part of the Narrativa del Acantilado collection.
