«La banda sin futuro» is the young adult novel by Marilar Aleixandre, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
Carlota has just moved, starts the school year at a new high school and doesn't recognise herself in the mirror: the doctor has shaved her head completely to treat eczema. Between the desire to fit in, chats with the photo of Poch, a deceased singer, and first love, the novel addresses identity, self-esteem and teenage relationships.
It belongs to the Gran Angular collection, number 200. The work was originally published in Galician under the title «A banda sen futuro».
Reading intended for teenagers aged 13 to 16 interested in realistic young adult fiction.
