«Künstlerprofile» is a book of artist profiles by Günther Ott, published by Rau in hardback (160 pages, in German).
Those portrayed were born in the East and, after putting down roots in the West, developed their careers; the volume addresses both their lives and their work, framed within the historical and cultural context. It includes a text by Götz Fehr, a preface by the author, and biographical notes on the contributors.
Volume 1 of «Künstlerprofile», subtitled «im Osten geboren, im Westen Wurzeln geschlagen»; edition overseen by the Stiftung Ostdeutscher Kulturrat, edited by Peter Nasarski, Düsseldorf, 1980.
For readers interested in German art history and in biographies of twentieth-century Central European artists.
