«Jardín inglés» is the mystery and humour novel by Carlos Pujol, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (220 pages, in Spanish).
An English colony in a foreign country, which they see as absurd and hot, becomes embroiled in a civil war, crimes, concealments and secret messages. The novel mixes mystery and humour, and the garden, though not exactly English, ends up reflecting the dreams and memories of its inhabitants.
The work appears in the P&J/literaria collection and the Novela series; the first edition dates from 1987.
For people fond of mystery novels with a touch of humour and exotic settings.
