«Il supereroe del soffitto» is the children's novel by Jules Feiffer, published by Bompiani in paperback (206 pages, in Italian).
Jimmy Jibbett draws comics and dreams of being an artist, though his father prefers sports. In his comics he turns his father into an Indiana Jones-type hero and deals with lack of privacy and social pressure. When he's about to give up, he creates Ceilingman, the superhero of the ceiling, who helps him see failure differently.
Published in 1995, it is the first children's work written and illustrated by Jules Feiffer and belongs to the I Delfini collection from Bompiani.
For readers aged 8 and up, especially those who enjoy stories about creativity, humour and the world of comics.

Jules Ralph Feiffer was an American cartoonist and author, who at one time was considered the most widely read satirist in the country. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1986 for editorial cartooning and, in 2004, Feiffer was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame. He wrote the animated short Munro, which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1961. The Library of Congress has recognized Feiffer's "remarkable legacy", from 1946 to the present, as a cartoonist, playwright, screenwriter, adult and children's book author, illustrator, and art instructor.
