«Il momento è delicato» is a collection of short stories by Niccolò Ammaniti, published by Einaudi in paperback (367 pages, in Italian).
A collection of stories written over twenty years: hyperrealist tales ranging from horror to parody, from pulp to tragic farce. An alien resembling Alba Parietti, a paranoid extramarital escape, or a thief facing a haunted house; Ammaniti critiques contemporary society with a compassionate eye toward his characters.
First edition within the Einaudi Stile libero big collection. The volume was nominated for the Chiara Prize 2012.
For readers of contemporary fiction and short stories who appreciate black humour, surprising twists, and a critical look at everyday life.
Niccolò Ammaniti is an Italian writer, winner of the Premio Strega in 2007 for As God Commands. He became noted in 2001 with the publication of I'm Not Scared, a novel which was later made into a movie directed by Gabriele Salvatores.
