«Il folle - Gli dei della terra» is a volume of philosophical texts by Kahlil Gibran published by Orsa Maggiore Editrice in paperback, in Italian.
The volume brings together two texts by Gibran: «Il folle» reflects on the human condition and truth outside social conventions; «Gli dei della terra» addresses the relationship between the divine and the earthly. With parables and prose poems, the work invites an introspective reading on the freedom of the soul and spirituality.
The Italian edition was published in 1989; the titles translate into Spanish as «El loco» and «Los dioses de la tierra».
Suitable for readers of mystical and philosophical literature and for those who wish to approach the work of Kahlil Gibran.
Jubrān Khalīl Jubrān, usually referred to in English as Kahlil Gibran, was a Lebanese-American writer, poet and visual artist. He was also considered a philosopher, although he himself rejected the title. He is best known as the author of The Prophet, which was first published in the United States in 1923 and has since become one of the best-selling books of all time, having been translated into more than 100 languages.
