«Ich hab einen Freund, der ist Feuerwehrmann» is the children's book by Ralf Butschkow, published by Carlsen Verlag GmbH in paperback (24 pages, in German).
Paul is a firefighter and shows children what his job involves: putting out fires is only part of it, because the fire brigade also handles other emergencies. With simple texts and quality illustrations, the book introduces little ones to a firefighter's work and the vehicles he uses, like the red truck on the cover. Ideal for reading aloud.
Part of the LESEMAUS series (volume 93), a collection recommended by Stiftung Lesen. Originally published in 2002.
Aimed at children aged 3 and up, it is suitable for shared family reading and for first introductions to the world of firefighters and occupations.
